Kai is my first original character i’ve ever created, this piece composition alone is inspired by Gharliera’s iconic mecha girls drawings. With the intent of creating a meaningful artwork for Kai, I aimed to capture her distinct traits. The dragon, symbolizing strength, wisdom, and compassion, serves as a representation of her character. Moreover, the inclusion of the Chinese poem "题西林壁" (Tí Xī Lín Bì) by Su Shi adds depth to the piece. This proverb underscores the importance of acknowledging the subjective nature of perception and humbly recognizing the limitations of our understanding. It encourages a mindset of humility and open-mindedness, reminding us that there is often more than meets the eye.
